      Smoke, Toxicity, Corrosion
Plastic combustion generates a series of toxic gases, such as hydrogen cyanide (HCN), sulfur gases (SO2, H2S), nitrogen gases (NO, NO2) and carbon monoxide (CO). These gases are more lethal than fire because they can render people incapable of escaping from the fire scene. Corrosive gases such as hydrogen fluoride (HF) and hydrogen chloride (HCl) can cause permanent damage to sensitive electronic devices.
The combustion products of JUTAIPEEK are mainly carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO). The amount of carbon monoxide produced is even less than 5% of the limit value specified in the Aviation Toxicity Standards (e.g. Boeing BSS 7238 and Airbus ATS-1000).

The toxicity of gases is usually measured based on the amount of gases that cause fatal damage to the human body. Table 2 is the test results of the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) Smoke Laboratory, which confirms that the only toxic gas produced considerably is carbon monoxide(CO).

Table below: The National Bureau of Standards (NBS) smoke laboratory tests the toxicity of combustion gases
